I took mini shopping with me during one of my many fabric excursions and I let her pick out some fabric. This is one of the fabrics that she chose–a Paris themed fabric. As she touched the soft cotton on the bolt, I saw so much of me in her. You can tell that she really appreciates the beauty of the fabric. While she stood there playing with the fabric I asked her what she thought she would want made out of this. “A shirt Mommy. I think a shirt would be so nice.” In my head she meant like a regular t-shirt but this isn’t a stretch cotton for that kind of style. Mini is a beautiful combination of tom-boy and girly girl so I wanted to make her something that would allow her to just be her. When I finished this peasant-style tunic for her she was so excited! Pairing it with some white jeans (which will probably NOT stay white ha!) and sandals makes for a perfect summer outfit.
