Growing up, I had the greatest dad. In the moment, I don’t know if I appreciated him the way that I do now that I see the things I love so much about how he fathered me in how my husband loves our kids. I wouldn’t say that when I started dating after mini I was looking for a good dad but I would be remiss if I said that this wasn’t a requirement. I found the most amazing friend, husband, and father in him.
Celebrating Father’s Every Day
I try not to wait until Father’s Day to show my husband how much I appreciate him being a great dad. He’s truly wonderful. He’s this amazingly compassionate and patient man. His girls love him and this is evident everyday with the squeals and screams of delight as he comes through the door. My husband has made it possible for me to chase my dreams while providing for our girls day in and day out.
He does more than the average husband–he cleans daily without nagging, comes in and immediately gives attention to the girls before putting them to bed and gets them dressed in the morning. He does these things happily and with joy in his heart which is why he deserves the world and more.
