I’ve been being more intentional about finding h

I’ve been being more intentional about finding happiness in the mundane.

Today these are some things that put a smile on my face:
1. Getting dressed in something other then my @fabletics faves.
2. Using my @cubii for 20 minutes so far as I worked on client stuff.
3. Finally using the mug warmer I bought so my coffee was hot during the hour it took me to drink it.

What are some of the smaller moments that have brought you a bit of happiness?

I can do hard things.

In the year that I was hoping everything came easy, it hasn’t. I’ve had health issues one after another and just difficulty all around. Nothing has gone to plan and a lot of days I just want to hop in a car a drive away.

But then I remind myself that I’ve survived 100% of the hard moments, days, years that I’ve faced and I can survive this season too.

Right now, I have to be even more intentional about my health. I’ll share more about some things going on later but investing in myself is a top priority and getting dressed in something that makes my workouts smooth and easy is appreciated. While I love my bright colored @fabletics outfits, sometimes just some solid basics are what I need to help me just power through my workout.

Find someone whose love lights up your darkest moments…

This year is a doozy. Between being sick for so long (having e.coli is really not fun), dealing with issues with my car from the accident, and finding out some other health related things, I’ve been struggling.

There’s been a lot of great, a lot of growth, many opportunities as well. But that doesn’t stop the trying times from seeping through and giving you an unwanted slap in the face as you attempt to focus on the softness.

After fighting with @progressive for nearly a year after an uninsured driver hit me, my old car was totaled out. For most of this year, it’s been my family and I functioning on my husband’s car. I’m grateful we have that and the flexibility of his job when we need it. This has really impacted my business and work though. Whereas I normally start work at 7:30am and work until 2pm when I get the kids, I wasn’t able to start until well after 9am and after getting the kids, I wasn’t home working again until 6:30pm.

My husband has been amazing through all of this. Helping where he can, making sure to schedule around my photo shoots and things. We got a decent settlement for it being totaled out but I hadn’t had the time to shop for a car. I told him my wants Vs needs and he made it happen.

So now I’m the owner of a new (to me) @honda Pilot that seats 8. I’m so appreciative of a husband who is truly a partner.

We wonder why kids are such bullies in school. Because the adults in the world model the behavior.

We need to do better.
