This year has really flown by and Iām baffled at how weāre already prepping to celebrate Halloween 2020. While I do love all the holidays, Halloween isnāt normally one that I go all out for. But thereās something about living through the pandemic that has me wanting to make sure I go big for everything. When my kids look back on this year, I donāt want them to feel sad but rather remember the memories we created and Halloween is no different.
So how are we celebrating this Halloween?Ā
Going bigāat home with Dollar General!
Brewing Up Fun For Halloween 2020Ā
Did you know that Halloween 2020 falls on a Saturday? Yes! This means that the weekend can be filled with fun without having to think of school (or work) the next day. If you donāt plan on trick or treating, thatās okāyou arenāt alone. But that doesnāt mean that you canāt still get dressed up for the occasion.Ā
We grabbed cute, easy, and cost-efficient Halloween costumes for the kids that were just $5 each from Dollar General. My favorite costumes are the ones that you donāt have to make a big fuss with but still make you feel festive. This year, we have an elephant, a cat and a wolf. Not to be forgotten, our newest member to the family also got a costume tooāheās a taco! BC was so tickled that he had a tail to match his best friend Logan that he couldnāt stop talking about itāitās the simple things, amiright?
All Dressed Up With Something To Do
Whether youāre super crafty, love cooking, or enjoy a creepy movie and game night with your family, Dollar General has you covered. Because their products donāt cost an arm and a leg, you can really stock up to make sure that there are activities for every personalityāincluding gift cards.
Weāre big movie watchers and game players so I grabbed a gift card for Netflix so we could watch some of my favorite spooky movies like Casper and Hotel Transylvania 3 with the kids after playing a game. I chose Family Feud because we love to watch the show! Dollar General has even more great ideas for baking with candy, Halloween scavenger hunts and more. Check out their onlineĀ Halloween headquartersĀ for ideas.Ā Ā
The Kids Arenāt The Only Things Dressed Up!
Our living room is the place where so many of our memories are made so dressing it up in some Halloween decor is only appropriate! Dollar General has some really high-quality decoration pieces like the glass bottles and jars with different creepy descriptors for $7 each and the skull snow globe for $10āthese are my favorites. Because we have a lot of shelving in our living room, the little wooden pieces were perfect–as was their prices for $5 each! And then some spider webbing that was just $1 just takes it to the next level! I was so excited that I found all this at Dollar General!
