Fall is in the air! Ok, it’s not. It’s still in the 90s here in Atlanta but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t in the full swing of all things fall–this includes loving on some apples! Apple picking is one of our favorite activities but what do you do with all the apples? Here’s a suggestion: make an apple pie smoothie!
Smoothies are a favorite around here. I make them for myself in the morning with a bit of protein to give me a good start for the day. I also like to make them for the kids during growth spurt season since I can sneak in extra calories to fill them up more.Ā
Apple Pie Smoothie
And that’s just what I did with this smoothie. I
used Juicy Juice Apple Juice as a base because I wanted that solid apple taste. Juicy Juice offers really great options that are lower in sugar than most juices. I included an organic vanilla yogurt for some protein and to smooth things out. The apples in here provide fiber. So basically what I’m saying is that this smoothie will protect your pockets and your kitchen!

Meal Prepping Smoothies
Yes. You can and should meal prep your smoothies for an easier morning. This helps me out because Mini can just grab the pre-measured baggies filled with smoothie recipes to help out in the mornings. She LOVES making smoothies BUT she will really go overboard with the ingredients and end up emptying my fridge!Ā
All you do is grab a glass container and drop your ingredients in there and freeze! Leave the liquid out of the baggie though!
