Today is the grand opening of Candytopia and last night my friends and I had the opportunity to check it out. Friends. It’s amazing. I’m going to give you the rundown without you feeling like you’ve heard enough you shouldn’t go but enough information that you know you need to experience it for yourself. Candytopia Atlanta was all the sweet fun that I needed for a girls night out and then some.
Candytopia Atlanta: Enough Fun For An Adult and A Playhouse For Kids
Before I had even hear of Candytopia, my friend MJ said she wanted to visit it. When I looked it up, I agreed that it was a definitive must visit. I missed out on the Christmas-themed pop up they had here and I’m still bummed out about that.
What is Candytopia Atlanta?
The easiest way to describe it is that it’s a candy museum filled with delicious fun. There are portraits and sculptures and other pieces of art that have been constructed with candy over many hours. Not only that, but it’s a place for both kids and adults to just feel free to be their authentic selves–this came from a PR rep from Candytopia themselves!
What should you expect from Candytopia Atlanta?
Fun. Seriously. I thought that there was just going to be a bunch of photo opportunities. While there are those, this is literally the perfect time to have family fun, a date night or fun with your kids. There IS candy in all the rooms and attendees are encouraged to take a piece to enjoy but not indulge recklessly. There are plenty of photo opportunities, props, and more but the best thing was the energy that was there. It was just infectious and fun.
What should you wear to Candytopia Atlanta?
This was something that I seriously struggled with. I knew I wanted to take a lot of photos but I didn’t want to clash with ALL the colors and patterns. I suggest wearing solid colors that are comfortable. Comfort is key as this is the type of museum that you get involved in.
