What We're Talking About...

Mini started a new school and things have been a little rough. By fourth grade, friendships have been formed and when you’re a new kid coming in, it can be hard. There have been lots of tears after school and her feelings were raw. I know when I’m going through things and I need some extra TLC, a night out is always in order. So I did that, and brought Mini with me!

We had the most epic mommy-daughter date that Atlanta could offer!

Dinner At Old Lady Gang

I’m not originally from Atlanta–I moved here to attend Spelman College. But there are a whole lot of us here! In fact, I’d had dinner plans to meet up with one of the girls I’d admired SO much as a kid when I was in Jack & Jill and another friend from high school. It was perfect that she attend with us to see how friends interact and hold space together. Plus the food was delish!

Double Mommy-Daughter Date To 29Rooms Atlanta

Everyone needs a girls night out--including our daughters! 29Rooms gifted us tickets to check them out and it turned into an epic night!

After dinner, we met up with fellow mom Joi and her daughter Joey who is a year younger than Mini. Both girls have just started new schools and needed that night out. It was their first time meeting and they clicked so well!

These pop-up museum-style experiences are becoming increasingly popular but 29Rooms really spoke to both Mini and Joey–they love dancing and painting and crafting and this experience had all of that for them. For Joi and I, there were perfect Instagrammable moments, drinks and snacks to share.
