The universe gives the best consequences and as a parent, my job isn’t to kick my kid while they’re down, rather, it’s to help guide them to making better decisions, protect them, etc.

This is an example of how consequences typically happen as conscious parents.

Baby’s still got it.

I have a confession: my husband and I don’t leave the house often enough for date nights. Babe has been a little cranky so yesterday I hit him with a “do you want to go out on a date with me? Yes or yes?” And of course, he said yes.

We went to our favorite Korean BBQ spot in Decatur where we ate, chatted and enjoyed food we didn’t have to share with the minions. I really forget that now we have a babysitter who lives with us—yes, sis gets paid and she does a great job. We came home to a clean house, kids in bed and asleep.

Letting Mini babysit is still something I’m getting used to. In raising her, we’ve been very intentional about making sure she knows she’s not her younger siblings’ mother and I don’t want her to feel forced into responsibility she didn’t want/ask for. But in truth, sis is great at it. She gets good performance reviews from her brother and sister and this works for me!

It is literally 100 degrees outside but I needed to hang with my girls. I’ve been working on living more this year and being more present.

I love working and I don’t want work to be my life. The pandemic made me forget what it was like to hangout, live, leave my house. Even though cases are picking back up, I don’t want to forget the beauty of life.

So my besties and I are sweating our lives away outside at the park while catching up. Thank goodness for the cooler bag that @betterthanbooze sent me! It was perfect to toting ice, water and snacks!!!

I went dry for my birthday which was over a month

I went dry for my birthday which was over a month ago after not really feeling like consuming alcohol anymore. And today I got a package from @betterthanbooze!!!

This gift was completely unexpected and absolutely appreciated. Paloma’s are one of my absolutely favorite summer drinks and this mocktail has the taste nailed without the alcohol.
