Hi. I’m Aaronica.

I decided to rebrand my site from TheCrunchyMommy.com because I felt limited. So now AaronicaBCole.com provides the limitless feeling that I needed to continue sharing about parenting, recipes, beauty, marriage and more as we live a more mindful life.

And now I can’t stop cutting it. I love my hai And now I can’t stop cutting it.
I love my hair curly.
I loved my hair loc’d.
And I love it even more being short.
Like seriously… I tend to cut my hair every 2 years. And my truth is that while I’ve typically thought I look like a pre-pubescent boy with my hair cut short, I like short hair. And now?
Babeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. The face card does NOT decline mmmmmkay?
But seriously: I’ve never worn my hair as short as it is now and now I’m wondering if I’ll ever go back to having length.
Shout out to this trend for giving love to the short hair!
🗣If I can’t dress comfortably, I’m not comi 🗣If I can’t dress comfortably, I’m not coming.
I kid but not really.
Outside is open. People are getting dressed up. Wearing heels and feet hurting and I’m just at a point in my life where if my feet aren’t comfortable, it’s just not going to work for me.
But it me and my 1s, Airmax, Huaraches are welcome?
Excellent. I will be there. ⁣

Raising kids with confidence starts with you. Yes Raising kids with confidence starts with you.
Yesterdays reel sparked great conversation in the comments and had quite a few people in my inbox asking how I raise confident kids.
Here’s my tips:
1. Model confidence.
2. Allow them to fail.
3. Give them choices.
4. Offer second chances
5. Ask them how they feel before offering your insight.
These are the things we practice daily.
I’d love for you all to chime in in the comments section with your thoughts, advice, questions.
Don’t forget to share this with someone who needs it too! ⁣

My kids took their first solo trip without me when My kids took their first solo trip without me when my husband and I went to Mexico. 🛫🛫🛫
I didn’t share this before but last night I was talking to a friend of mine and told her. Her response was something I said to myself, “how did I feel comfortable enough to send them on a trip alone?”
My truth: I wasn’t 100% comfortable but I didn’t let that show to my kids.
At home, we build their confidence and that is something I’m proud of. For every “I can’t” they say, we help them to see that they can. There’s a lot that I can’t control as a parent but what I can do is make sure I do everything in my power to build my kids confidence so they know right from wrong, healthy from unhealthy, and that no matter what, their parents will fight for them.
Mini is old enough to supervise her brother and sister on a flight and she did a phenomenal job. We walked them to the gate. I went over some things with Mini that gave her some tools to help her in flight. And then my sister-friend Aretha was at the gate when they arrived. Mini texted me when she needed some help which was rare but even then, all I did was remind her of the incredible kid she already is and that she has the tools for success within her.
Parenting these days is hard. Between the internet, in person predators, and so much raising kids leaves me in tears some days. But knowing that I can fill their cup and teach them the tools to keep it full is really helpful. Is it the only thing they need to stay safe? No.
But it’s a good start.
If this helped you, make sure to save and share the post. ⁣

Friend, YOU are your secret sauce. YOU are your secret weapon. YOU are amazing. Don’t try to be like anyone else.
Unless you’re racist. Or you don’t believe that women deserve the right to make choices for their bodies. Then work on being someone else.

After seeing the summer menu at @first.watch, I HAD to make my way in. We hadn’t found one on our side of town since moving. I’ve had some questionable experiences at the Decatur location but listen… the Snellville First Watch?
Quality.
From the time we walked in, we were greeted with care and stellar customer service. Our server was exceptional. She paid my kids attention, listened to them, was so patient with my little BC and set expectations with me on the time of our food. Even with them being short staffed, they were excellent.
But let’s get into this summer menu. Both Mini and I ordered the Barbacoa Quesadilla Benedict and when I tell you that it is 🤌🏾🤌🏾🤌🏾so good. The flavors were balanced, the meat was tender and the portion size was perfect. I ordered the Pomegranate Tequila Sunrise 🌅 and y’all. I thought I was back in Mexico. I loved how they gave the history of Birria on the back of the menu paying homage to the Mexican delicacy.
The littles ordered off the children’s menu and they did some happy dancing when their food arrived. The food was so good I forgot to order grits to go for my poor husband that just had his wisdom teeth removed. 🫣🫣🫣
Anywho, @first.watch let me know if you need a professional taste tester 😘😘😘 ⁣
