Growing up I was teased so badly about my legs tha Growing up I was teased so badly about my legs that even now I hesitate to wear dresses, shorts, anything that will show my ankles and legs. But I LOVE this dress that I made about a month ago. One of the things that I’m learning as I really step into my power this year is that I’m beautiful, intelligent, talented, and incredible WITH my flaws. One of the teachers of this has been someone who probably doesn’t even know she’s impacted me the way she has. @eboneedebrah is a book coach for my incredible friend @jenellbstewart and I met her on @clubhouse. She’s soft spoken and shared some things about her journey that have left me with my jaw dropped. But amidst her imperfections, she shows up as an incredible and knowledgeable book coach—sis knows her stuff. And watching her from afar has been really inspiring. I’ve known I wanted to shift my role into that of a coach for some time but I thought because I didn’t have millions of followers, likes, comments, views on my website that I wasn’t qualified. I thought that because I wasn’t PERFECT that it disqualified me from helping and inspiring others. But here’s the truth: you don’t have to be perfect to teach, coach or inspire. I never ran track but I’m the kids track coach and had people asking me to do private coaching sessions with their kids. I was shocked but @dragonflyfernbass said it best when he told me that when you’re a coach, it doesn’t matter the discipline you can still coach. And he’s right. I am an EXCELLENT coach. I am an EXCELLENT writer. I am an EXCELLENT teacher. Excellence doesn’t mean flawless though. So cheers 🍻 to those of us stepping into our power, flaws and all. Things that should live on my feed… You all’s Things that should live on my feed… You all’s favorite virtual nephew was off school today so I was working on teaching him to art of relaxing in the bed. He nailed it. Then we went to work. In the mornings I do a positivity room with @jenellbstewart @michellelthames @bellascreditcorner @winningnatalie @hardeelife @leslieannpolk @hanifabarnesesq @iam_catinamorrison and more. I didn’t workout while I was in the room instead I made sure that my clients webinar was ready to go live. Then I ran my own room called “Six Figure Blogger Mistakes” which was really fruitful. I love when I do a room and people find value. I shared more about the workshop on structuring your business for success with a business plan that I have coming up on Wednesday. I sent a newsletter out just saying hey and happy Friday to my peeps on there before ordering and making my kids #EasterBasket. Shout out to @oliveandjune who sent me THE cutest #easterbasketstuffers!!! I can’t wait for them to open them Sunday. I planned out the Easter meal, did the shopping and picked the kids up. Now I’m going to make them some Easter outfits. Or plan them at least. How’s your Friday? Swipe through for a little look at mine.
